Starbucks Unwraps Holiday Menu Amid CEOs Plan to Trim Regular Offerings

The holiday season may still be a little ways off, but starting tomorrow, November 7, Starbucks is bringing festive cheer with the launch of its holiday menu. This year’s offerings include a new refreshing drink, beloved holiday classics that have become tradition, and a selection of seasonal food items, both sweet and savory.

Since Brian Niccol took the helm as CEO in September, Starbucks has already introduced several customer-friendly changes. These include the removal of fees for nondairy-milk drinks, the return of the condiment bar, and the revival of handwritten names on cups for a more personalized touch-reminiscent of the brand’s earlier years. Baristas have also been advocating for enhancements that prioritize customer experience.

We’re focusing on what makes Starbucks special-a welcoming coffeehouse where people can gather and enjoy expertly crafted coffee, Niccol noted in a press release.

With the new holiday menu, fan favorites make a comeback alongside fresh offerings. The iconic Peppermint Mocha, a staple for 22 seasons, returns in hot, iced, and blended Frappuccino forms. Other popular options include the Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, and Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai.

New to the lineup is the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher, combining orange and cranberry flavors with holiday spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg. This drink can be made with water, lemonade, or coconut milk. Additionally, six seasonal cold foams will be available, including new Gingerbread Cream and Salted Pecan options.

The holiday menu also features new food items such as the Turkey Sage Danish, Dark Toffee Bundt, Penguin Cookie, and Snowman Cake Pop. Returning favorites include the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish and Cranberry Bliss Bar.

Starbucks’s holiday cups, which have become a symbol of the season, are also set to return. Kristy Cameron, creative director for this year’s holiday designs, expressed that the return of the festive cups brings joy and excitement. She shared that the bright and bold new designs were inspired by genuine moments of joy and coffee, aiming to capture the warmth of the coffeehouse and the anticipation felt when the red cups arrive.

Whether it’s the aroma of coffee beans roasting, the glow of holiday lights, or cups being raised in a toast, Starbucks invites customers and partners alike to celebrate the season together.
