Highlights of Art Week Miami Beach
Art Basel Miami Beach will take center stage at the Miami Beach Convention Center from December 6 to 8, showcasing works from 285 international galleries across 38 countries. Around two-thirds of these exhibitors hail from the Americas, with others representing Europe and Asia. The fair features renowned galleries, 34 of which are debuting this year, offering fresh perspectives to this artistic extravaganza.
The City of Miami Beach will also present several curated public art programs. Notable installations include the “Sundial Spectrum” by Miami artist Jen Stark, located on Española Way, and the fifth edition of the city’s juried competition, “No Vacancy,” where 12 artists create site-specific works in 12 hotels across the city.
Art Basel Legacy Purchase Program
This year marks the sixth edition of the Art Basel Legacy Purchase Program. With a $50,000 budget, the City of Miami Beach will acquire world-class artwork by emerging artists for permanent display at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Residents are invited to vote for their favorite piece, ensuring community involvement in shaping the city’s artistic legacy.
